This value can be changed if the user has sufficient rights. The change will take effect from the next data entry module that is loaded (or other module that changes data, such as Import). This only affects the current user, and only stays amended until this user exits from the application, so can be used to temporarily switch off auditing in order to (say) run a long month end process thereby avoiding writing large volumes of audit data to the log.
